Sorry for being MIA the past week or so but we’ve been pretty busy around here! I’m working on updating you guys on what we’ve been doing so check back later in the week. For now, here’s a funny story to pass the time.

This is a true story, even though my mom would tell it a bit differently. Don’t listen to her though, this is exactly how it happened.

When she was visiting, we showed her the horrible parking spot we have in the building. It takes some serious maneuvering to get into place. I’m pretty good at parking, and my mom has a competitive nature, so I guess that’s how this story started.

The two of us were coming back from shopping and I was backing the car through the garage into our space. Keep in mind, you have to back the car around several poles and a few very sharp turns to get to our space, and that usually means not parking in one smooth move. This was our conversation:

Mom: You should make it in one move. You could beat Justin. One move. You can do it.

Me: I don’t know. Maybe.

Mom: (whispering creepily) You can do it. Come on. Do it. Beat him.

Me: Ummm ok.

Two minutes later, BAM!

I was so focused on her telling me to “do it” that I got distracted and backed into the metal cabinet behind our spot. Haha! This was 100% her fault even though she would tell it differently.

Luckily the cabinet is pretty tough and there’s only a couple dents. That’s life right?

Whoops.

Check back later in the week for our L.A. trip pics, museum reviews, and all the other fun stuff we’ve been up to. Happy Tuesday!
